1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using WorshipTruth ("the Service") at worshiptruth.quest, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Description of Service
WorshipTruth provides a platform for theological analysis of worship songs and hymns, including but not limited to:
- A database of songs with theological ratings and analyses
- Line-by-line doctrinal analysis of lyrics
- Curated playlists of doctrinally sound songs
- Educational content about Biblical worship
- Church tools for building approved repertoires
- Community discussion features
Our analyses represent the views of our theological analysts and are intended to help churches evaluate worship music against Scripture and historic Christian creeds. We encourage charitable disagreement and recognize that denominations may differ on secondary matters.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update your information if it changes
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
3.2 Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
3.3 Analyst Accounts
Analyst accounts require verification of theological credentials. We reserve the right to approve or deny analyst applications at our discretion.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or harmful
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service without permission
- Submit false or misleading information
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Community Guidelines: We expect charitable disagreement, Scripture as the final authority, respect for denominational differences on secondary issues, and grace for hymn writers of different eras.
5. User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.
5.2 Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of any User Content. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
5.3 Analyst Content
Song analyses submitted by analysts undergo review before publication. Analysts agree that their analyses may be edited for clarity and that published analyses may be attributed to them publicly.
6. Payment Terms
Certain features may require payment. If applicable:
- All prices are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
- You may cancel subscriptions at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
- Refunds are provided at our discretion within 30 days of purchase
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Content
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by WorshipTruth and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Song Lyrics
Song lyrics displayed on the Service may be subject to third-party copyrights. We display lyrics under fair use for purposes of theological analysis and criticism. For licensing information, contact the respective copyright holders or CCLI.
7.3 Public Domain Hymns
Many historic hymns are in the public domain. We indicate public domain status where known but make no warranty as to the copyright status of any song.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Theological analyses represent opinions and should not be considered authoritative doctrinal statements.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORSHIPTRUTH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Any third-party conduct or content on the Service
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WorshipTruth and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
