1. Overview
WorshipTruth respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our Service to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws.
2. Our Use of Song Lyrics
WorshipTruth displays song lyrics for the purpose of theological analysis, criticism, and commentary. We believe this use constitutes fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107, as our analyses:
- Transform the original work by adding theological commentary
- Are for nonprofit educational and religious purposes
- Use only the amount necessary for analysis
- Do not substitute for purchasing the original songs
However, if you are a copyright holder and believe your work has been used in a way that constitutes infringement, please follow the procedure below.
3. Filing a DMCA Notice
If you believe that content on our Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our Designated Agent containing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work: Describe the work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, provide a representative list.
- Identification of the infringing material: Provide the URL(s) or other specific location of the material you claim is infringing.
- Your contact information: Include your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your area (or any judicial district if outside the US) and will accept service of process from the complainant
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the removed content.
6. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA, we will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We may also terminate accounts at our discretion for even a single instance of infringement.
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify this DMCA Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
