1. In peace and joy I now de- part At God's dis- pos- ing; For full of com- fort is my heart, Soft re- pos- ing. So the Lord hath pro- mised me, And death is but a slum- ber.
 
2. 'Tis Christ that wrought this work for me, My faith- ful Sa- vior, Whom Thou hast made mine eyes to see By Thy fa- vor. Now I know He is my Life, My Help in need and dy- ing.
 
3. Him Thou hast un- to all set forth Their great Sal- va- tion And to His king- dom called the earth, Ev- ery na- tion, By Thy dear and whole- some Word, In ev- ery place re- sound- ing.
